A bohemian upbringing in the southwest surrounded by painters and artists, punk bands and skaters, Native American and Spanish cultures infused her with a love of all things beautiful. Years of studying classical and modern dance and performance art in NYC taught her the value of clothing that feels as good as it looks.
Though Leah Shlaer is self-taught, she spent the last 15 years designing women’s contemporary for a number of successful brands in Los Angeles.
Now with a new eponymous label, Leah’s collection of influences are on full display. The line celebrates those years of studying dance, wearing leotards day and night, and experiencing the final days of NYC’s ‘90s supermodel era. It’s an aesthetic that is very much rebellious while feeling beautiful to wear.
Thoughtfully designed and made-by-hand in Los Angeles.
